Ray T. Forbes, MD Dr. Forbes received his bachelor's degree from Northwestern University. From 1971 to 1975, he served in the U.S. Navy. He attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma, and did his residency at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining IACNY in 1986, Dr. Forbes was a physician at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Forbes also supervises medical students as they do their clinical rounds in our practice. Back to top

James P. Blanchfield, MD
Dr. Blanchfield received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. He attended medical school and did his residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Blanchfield joined IACNY in 1987, and is board-certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the Onondaga County Medical Society.

Eileen D. Stone, MD Dr. Stone received her bachelor's degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. She attended medical school at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, and did her residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Prior to joining IACNY in 1987, Dr. Stone belonged to the Immediate Care Physicians in Syracuse. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Stone is a member of the American College of Physicians.

Barbara L. Clayton, MD
Dr. Clayton received her bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She attended medical school and did her residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Prior to joining IACNY in 2003, Dr. Clayton was the attending physician for the Women's Clinic at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, and then at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Clayton lives in DeWitt with her husband, Dr. Charles Lutz, and their two children.

Dr. Rachna Zirath, MD
Dr. Zirath received her bachelor's degree from the Miss Hill School and attended medical school at Jiwaji University in Gwalior, India. She did her residency at the State University of New York Buffalo Medical and Dental Consortium. Dr. Zirath joined IACNY in 2005, and is board-certified in internal medicine.

Ami C. Milton, MD Dr. Milton received her bachelor's degree from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. She attended medical school at Pennsylvania State University, and did her residency at a Northeastern Ohio University Medical School affiliated hospital in Akron, OH. Dr. Milton performed her fellowship in rheumatology at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. She joined IACNY in 1996, and is board-certified in internal medicine.

Stephan A. Alkins, MD, FACP, FCCP
Dr. Alkins received his bachelor's degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, and attended medical school at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He did his residency and performed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Prior to joining IACNY in 2003, Dr. Alkins served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine.

J. Kurt Concilla, DPM, DABPS
Dr. Concilla received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He attended medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and did his residency at the Legacy Portland Hospitals in Oregon. Prior to joining IACNY in 2005, Dr. Concilla ran a private practice in Syracuse. He is board-certified in podiatric surgery and podiatric orthopedics, and is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Concilla lives with his wife and two children in Cazenovia, and in his spare time enjoys outdoor activities such as sailing, bicycling, skiing, and mountain climbing.

Deborah L. Schu, RNNP
Ms. Schu received her diploma of nursing as a registered professional nurse in 1981. She completed the nurse practitioner program with her Master's Degree in Science in 1987 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, where she graduated at the top of her class. Prior to joining IACNY in 1997, Ms. Schu worked at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse on the Internal Medicine Service taking care of hospitalized patients. She frequently supervises nurse practitioner and graduate students as they do their clinical rounds in our practice.

Ms. Eveleigh received her bachelor's of science in nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1995. She completed the nurse practitioner program at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2006. Prior to joining IACNY in 2009, Ms. Eveleigh worked at the Central Square Health Center.

Sharon Valenti, RNNP
Ms. Valenti received her bachelor's of science in nursing from Emmanuel College in Boston in 1984. She graduated with distinction from Simmons College in Boston in 1993 with her master's degree in primary health care nursing. Prior
to joining IACNY in 2010, Ms. Valenti worked with the Associated Urologists of CNY.

Kathleen Anderson, RNNP
Ms. Anderson went to undergraduate school at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY. She completed the nurse practitioner program at the Upstate Medical University College of Nursing in Syracuse. Ms. Anderson joined IACNY in 2004.
